Game Night Oct 7th

Game Night is every first Wednesday of the month from 7PM-9PM. Bring your own favorite games from home to play, or play any of the games in the Library’s collection. Come hang out, enjoy some drinks and snacks, and learn new games!

Community Stargazing - Star Scavenger Hunt Oct 9th

Join us for our second Community Stargazing event, the Star Scavenger Hunt, led by Peter Dunphy. The event will take place on Friday October 9th at the Goodnow Preserve. From 6:45PM to 7:30PM, learn how to use the New Marlborough Library’s Smart Telescope (available to borrow for use at home!). From 7:30PM to 9:45PM, the Star Scavenger Hunt will commence, using the naked eye and binoculars. All ages are welcome. Back up dates in case of bad weather will be Saturday Oct 10th and Sunday Oct 11th. Contact the library the day of for updates. Art Exhibit Opening Reception Oct 10th

Join us on Saturday, October 10th, from 4PM to 5:30PM for the opening reception of Brett Parson’s library art exhibit. Parson is a Berkshires-based cartoonist, illustrator, painter, and father who grew up here in Mill River and has spent the last 15 years working professionally in comics. His work is rooted in cartooning, a medium he loves for its ability to exaggerate life, emotion, movement, and humor. Whether drawing comic books, creating paintings, or filling sketchbooks with ideas, Brett is always chasing energy, personality, and storytelling in every piece.
